A Summer in Genoa, also known as Genova, is a 2008 drama directed by Michael Winterbottom. A British man Joe (Colin Firth) moves to Italy with his two daughters, Mary (Perla Haney-Jardine) and Kelly (Willa Holland) after the death of his wife to renew their lives. During their time in Italy, they struggle with challenges, like Mary seeing the ghost of her mother and teenage Kelly rebelling against her father and pursuing boys. In their first night in Italy, they eat dinner with an old friend of Joe’s, Barbara (Catherine Keener). On the table, you can see orange Fanta.

The series finale of series 2, entitled “New York,” sees the McKinley High Glee Club in New York for the National Show Choir finals. The kids seek inspiration for a new song, so they venture out into the streets of the city. While singing a mash-up of “New York, New York” and “I Love New York,” Artie (Kevin McHale) is buying a hot dog at a hot dog stand, and on top of it is a bottle of orange Fanta.

In the series 8 opener, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond are celebrating the show’s new Chevrolet Lacetti for use in the segment “Star in a Reasonably-Priced Car.” To usher it in, the host an event where they invite every celebrity in Britain to a garden party to come drive the car and have their lap time recorded. At one point in the day, Richard and Jeremy are enjoying the party with Justin Hawkins, and Richard is sitting, drinking an orange Fanta, while watching Jimmy Carr drive the Lacetti.

On the May 7, 2011 episode of Saturday Night Live, host Tina Fey starred in a sketch where she portrayed Ariel in a sketch called “Mermaid.” Fey and other sea creatures sing a song called “Below the Waves” when the body of Osama bin Laden falls on the crab (Kenan Thompson). One of the lines of the song talks about a manta drinking a Fanta.

Dennis Dugan’s 2010 film Grown Ups is the story of five friends from junior high who reunite as adults to attend the funeral of their basketball coach. The friends go to a lake to scatter their coach’s ashes on MacIntire Island. Once there, they rest for a bit after rowing to get there. Kurt (Chris Rock) opens a can of orange Fanta.

In the Pulling one-hour special (2009), Karen (Tanya Franks) is in a shop buying mustard when she sees her ex-boyfriend Billy (Paul Kaye) and tries of avoid him. Surrounding the two (on one side, at least) is a tall shelf with various soft drinks, including Fanta, on the top.

Fanta makes a subtle appearance in episode 5 of season 2. Louise (Rebekah Staton) is in a shop, smelling, squeezing, and knocking on some bread. Behind her is a drinks cooler with Fanta in it. She ends up accidentally stealing some milk. So enthralled and proud of herself, she returns to the shop to steal more items, where the Fanta in the drinks cooler can witness her crime.

In series 13, episode 7, Jeremy Clarkson and James May are trying to create commercials for the Volkswagen Scirocco TDI. In Clarkson’s final attempt, war has broken out in Poland, and it appears that a school cafeteria has been left abandoned. On one of the tables is a can of orange Fanta.

In series 4, episode 5, Hugh Laurie is portraying a foreign race car driver, and Stephen Fry is a man interviewing him. Behind Laurie’s head are advertisements, one being Fanta.

In series one, episode four, Donna (Sharon Horgan) is at a supermarket buying beer for her 30th birthday party, and a man, Danny, comes to her aide and helps carry the case of beer. Behind his head is a drinks color with cans of orange Fanta in it. Below the cases of beer are cases of cans of orange Fanta.
